Half way there!

Today marks the half way point for Hip Hip…the first half seems to have flown by, but at the same time we are excited and wish Hip Hip would hurry up and get here so we could find out what we are having.

The second ultrasound was last week. The baby was super hyper and wouldn’t pose for the pictures. The technician tried for about 45 minutes to get the measurements she needed. It felt like hours since she was jabbing the ultrasound wand into my full bladder. They make you drink a liter of water an hour before your appointment and you aren’t allowed to pee so that your bladder is expanded and clear so you can see the baby better. We were able to count all 4 limbs, see a spine and a heart, as well as the baby’s full bladder. Everything was a blur since it wouldn’t sit still. We didn’t find out the sex and I don’t think we could have if we wanted to.
