Movember 2009

I’m officially taking part in Movember. What’s Movember you ask? It’s when men across the globe grow a mustache and raise money and awarness for Prostate cancer.

I wanted to do it last year as I had some friends doing it and it looked kinda like fun but I was too late. This year, I prepared all year long for my growing season.

Anyway, I have setup a Movember page for people to donate to my mustache. All donations are tax deductible. Oh and if it’s any incentive Lindsay does NOT like the stache.

What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men with 25,500 diagnosed and 4,400 dying from the disease each year.

Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved…. Plus, I get to grow a mustache and look like a 70’s porn star for a month!

To make a donation, you can either:

• Write a cheque payable to ‘Prostate Cancer Canada’, referencing my Registration Number 325022 and mailing it to: Prostate Cancer Canada, 145 Front Street East, Ste. 306, Toronto, ON M5A 1E3, Canada.

Prostate Cancer Canada will use the money raised by Movember for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.

Sorry it’s been a while since we’ve posted anything but we’ll have some real posts up in a bit. Including more status updates of the upper lip growth.
