Not so Deep thoughts
As we were driving home from running stairs tonight we started just BS-ing like we usually do and the song “The Streets With No Name” by U2 was on the radio. So, we started asking a bunch of random questions…
How actually do you get around in a city with street with no names?
Does the city have a name?
Are the city streets numbers? And if so, are numbers considered names?
Lindsay thought we should do some sort of Not So Deep Thoughts – By The Sills. Similar to the Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy but with less “deepness”. So, there you have it the first Not So Deep Thought.
Maybe we ran too many stairs….

Actually, only about 10% of the streets in Benghazi have names. Just the big ones. Houses don’t have numbers either. You end up relying on landmarks to get around, and sometimes meeting people at a corner and guiding them to your place.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the answer to your questions are as follows:
1. Easier than you think.
2. Yes.
3. As in Washington DC? Yes.
4. Clearly too many stairs.
Sounds vaguely like Friday’s thoughts.
I thought it was deep enough – stairs or otherwise.
I call the stairs I run names . . . but despite some of the language that has made an appearance on this blog, I still deem those names too harsh to post. That kind of language should strictly be saved for pi dinner nights.
